The Sport Gives Back Awards were created by former international athlete
Connie Henry MBE.

Having run her own charity Track Academy for more than 15 years, she wanted to shine a light on individuals and organisations using sport to change lives all over the country.

The idea is not to pit one individual or organisation against another in a competitive process, rather to highlight the great work that is being done in the sport for social change sector.

Therefore, recipients of Sport Gives Back accolades have not beat off competition from others, or undergone a subjective view on worthiness from a panel. Instead, they have been chosen because of their outstanding work, effort and commitment to help others through sport.

The Sport Gives Back Awards will take place at Cadogan Hall in London in 2026 and will be broadcast on ITV.
